Figure Lounge is an English-language guide to figure skating for fans, new skaters, parents, and anyone curious about the sport.
Understand more. Enjoy more.
We explain skating terminology, look closely at international competitions, and explore the skaters and performances that make the sport compelling.
The site brings together an A–Z glossary, competition reports, skater profiles, practical guides, and the journey of Team HighPure Synchro 9, a team in Korea that we help run.
Our editorial approach
We aim to separate verified facts, observations, and interpretation. Competition results and technical rules are checked against official sources, with the relevant event or season identified where needed.
Illustrations are used to explain ideas and are distinguished from photographs of actual performances. If a published article needs a correction, we review the affected text and visuals together.
